POETRY IN THE PARK


HOWL New Irish Writing are thrilled to showcase the work of twelve poets with Poetry in the Park. This venture features twelve poems from poets published in HOWL 24. The poems will be on display in six Cork City parks through February and March 2025. Huge gratitude to Poetry Ireland for supporting Poetry in the Park with their Partnership Scheme. We are also very grateful to the lovely people at Cork City Library and Creative Ireland.


Want to go on a poem hunt? Then whisk your way to one of these parks — Blarney Sanctuary Walkway, Ballincollig Regional Park, Marina Park, Tramore Valley Park, Gerry O'Sullivan Park and Fitzgerald's Park. Witness powerful poems by immensely talented poets — Audrey Molloy, David Nash, Derville Quigley, Jane Robinson, Lauren Lawler, Liz Quirke, Louis Mulcahy, Mark Ward, Maurice Devitt, Nessa O'Mahony, Patrick Cotter and Rosamund Taylor.HWL New Irish Writing are thrilled to showcase the work of 12 poets with Poetry in the Park showcasing 12 poets…which showcases poems from 12 poets published in HOWL 24.
